Home Depot declined to disclose how many people work at the three Vermont stores. "We are not breaking out specifics," said Home Depot spokeswoman Jen King. "I can tell you that this will not impact any customer facing positions in our Home Depot stores and we do not have any plans to close Home Depot stores."
The job cuts at Home Depot's stores will reduce the headcount "in administrative functions in the Company's store support centers. These support reductions will impact approximately 2,000 associates and will result in a 10 percente reduction in the Company's officer ranks," the company said in press released today.
