Mudug region football team has reached the quarter finals of the Puntland regional football tournament for peace and development after defeating Karkaar 3-0 in the afternoon.
Two of Mudug's goals were assisted by Ahmed Abdikadir (Darwish), while the other goal was scored by Abdullahi Jama (Jufo) in the first seconds of the match.
Mudug is still the clean-up team that finished top of Group ‘B’, followed by Ayn and Karkaar who will play against each other on August 11th, each with 3 points.
The Mudug team has a match against the Gardafuu team which has little chances of qualifying for the next round on Wednesday.
Mudug is the second team to reach the quarter finals of the tournament, Nugaal which is in group ‘A’ made it to the quarter finals yesterday.
