The Puntland Ministry of Education on Tuesday announced the results of the 8th grade exams.
12,035 students, 7049 boys and 4986 girls, sat for the exam this year.
The ministry said 11,571 students passed the exam, while 364 failed and 100 of the students did not take the test.
It is noteworthy that a girl named Nawal Mahad Saeed who was studying at Daru-Rahma School in Bossaso took the first place in the exam.
