Ankara:
Turkey has completed the training of 47 Somali police officers for special operations tasks, at the Shankiri Training Center.
The Special Operations Police Training Center in Cankiri organized a ceremony to distribute certificates of completion of the 1.5-month course, in the presence of the governor of Cankiri city, Abdullah Ayaz, and the deputy director of security, Erhan Julfran, according to the Turkish "Suzcu" website.
Ayaz expressed his happiness with the cooperation between the two countries, saying, “We are happy to see the results of our efforts here. Interns who receive training here, will serve their country in the best possible way. Turkey and Somalia are in a much better position than they are today, and they will cooperate in the future. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this collaboration.”
