The President of Puntland State of Somalia, HE Said Abdullahi Deni, received at his residence in Mogadishu the United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Somalia, HE Mohamed Ahmed Othman.
A statement from Puntland's presidency said the two officials met in Mogadishu but did not elaborate on what they discussed.
"The president thanked the UAE government for its support and assistance to the Somali people affected by the drought," the statement said.
