Garowe: 12 October 2022: The president Puntland state of somalia, Dr. Said Abdullahi Deni, held a meeting tonight with Puntland political organizations and the Puntland Elections Transitional Committee.
The Minister of Interior, Federalism and Democracy of Puntland, Mr. Abdi Farah Juha, and the Chairman of the Transitional Commission for Puntland Elections, Mr. Abdul Razak Ahmed Saeed, participated in the meeting where preparations are underway for the completion of local council elections in Puntland districts.
The heads of political organizations in Puntland who participated in the meeting also presented their views and their readiness to participate in the local council elections in Puntland provinces.
In his response to the proposal of the political organizations, the President of the Government of Puntland, Dr. Said Abdullahi Deni, announced that the government willsupport the political organizations with financial support.
Also, Puntland President l informed the meeting that he will appoint the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court of Puntland, to complete the jurisdiction relating to the election of one person and one vote in the Puntland Provincial Local Councils.
The meeting was attended by the Federal Minister of Interior and Democracy, Minister of Presidential Affairs, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Minister of Justice and Religious Affairs, Minister of Energy, Minerals and Water, and Director General of the Council of Ministers, Presidency Advisers and Presidency Officers.
