Pastor Paul Mackenzie's friend, Pastor Ezekiel Odero, arrested, linked with cult deaths at New Life Church

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have now shifted their focus to looking into the unsolved deaths on Tuesday, April 25, associated with cult devotion at the coast and linked to televangelist Pastor Ezekiel Odero's New Life Prayer Centre and Church over his theology and church practises.

On Tuesday, April 25, Pastor Ezekiel allegedly captured remarks with Kilifi DCI, according to a concealed Ministry of Interior source.

Pastor Ezekiel Odero of the New Life Prayer Centre and Church made a statement to the police today about claims of brainwashing of believers.

Police questioned the management of the Milele Funeral Home, a mortuary next to Pastor Ezekiel's New Life Church in Mavueni, Kilifi County, regarding crucial issues relating to suspected cultic activities at the seashore.

According to Johnson Amani Kea, CEO of Milele Funeral Home, they answered questions from the police about how many remains the mortuary had taken from Pastor Ezekiel's congregation.

Additionally, he stated that contrary to popular belief, his mortuary had not reported anything to the police; rather, they were only gathering witness testimony that was required by law while conducting their investigations.

"We failed to submit a complaint. The police are taking testimonies on how many corpses from Pastor Ezekiel's church we have taken care of so far. As required by law, we have provided the police with our statements on that. Pastor Ezekiel is not the subject of a complaint we have made. The police are just carrying out their investigations."

On April 25, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki confirmed the investigation into a different preacher based in Kilifi. It turned out that this second preacher was Ezekiel Odero of New Life.

"We have started looking into another preacher who is headquartered here in Kilifi, and we are finding significant information that will soon enable us to draw reasonable conclusions."

"The time has come to put an end to these charlatans," Kindiki said, adding that any religion that murders people or commits crimes in the name of God must be stopped.

With the alleged use of the Bible to murder and commit a massacre, Professor Kithure Kindiki emphasised that the horrible deeds carried out against people by religious leaders are an abuse of their basic rights to freedom.

His comments were made after the Paul Mackenzie case. Over 90 remains were unearthed from the man's home farm over five days.

With the alleged use of the Bible to murder and commit a massacre, basic liberties were being abused.

Those who advised others to fast and pass away were eating and drinking to get them ready for their Creator's arrival. After visiting Shakahola woodland, the CS talked about the new life preacher.

Popular preacher Ezekiel Odiero, who oversees a megachurch in Maveuni in Kilifi County, has been the subject of disturbing revelations from a whistleblower.

Pastor Paul Mackenzie, whose cultic church has horrified the country, is a personal friend of Pastor Ezekiel, claims the whistleblower.

Mackenzie sold his TV station and several of his automobiles to Pastor Ezekiel when he shut down his church and relocated to Shakahola village.
